About April Krowel – Co-Founder & CEO
April earned her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Ball State University in July 2017. She completed her predoctoral internship at VA Illiana Health Care System, with special emphasis in neuropsychological assessment. She has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. April is a neuropsychology postdoctoral fellow at Brain Performance and Psychology Center.
She has served on several boards as both a student leader and a professional, including state and national psychological associations, as well as had the honor of being named State Leader of the Year with the American Psychological Association and Student Leader of the Year with the Indiana Psychological Association. April is a Perham Scholar, Student Veterans of America-Raytheon Patriot Scholar, and Pat Tillman Scholar. She was recently selected as one of the United Way of Central Indiana’s 100 Heroes for making a positive impact in the community. April enjoys working with a team and is looking forward to the nonprofit journey with the founding board.
April’s family knows firsthand how much hassle insurance companies can be, especially when they deny coverage for critical medical needs, which motivated them to create Briezy’s Bunch.
