For those of you not familiar with the Amplify Hope Program, it is an incubator for emerging non-profits that offers a place to share ideas and resources in a centralized think tank to optimize positive social impact in the community.

Huey Snow Shares His Vision for the Down But Not Out Foundation

Hey there! Allow me introduce myself. My name is Huey, and The Down But Not Out Foundation has been my brainchild for the last 20 years. My mission is simple–END HOMELESSNESS here in America. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Huey, you must be crazy; there is no way. Dream on. And to be honest, that is a phrase I am all too familiar with. If I had a dollar for every time I have heard that in my life . . . Well, let’s just say we wouldn’t have to raise any money to build this Foundation. So, here is the deal. I have taken my 30 years of experience being an Entrepreneur, my 30 years of construction and remodeling experience, my 30 years of auto repair and restoration, as well as my absolute love for mankind and I have developed an AMAZING set of programs that will work together in tandem to ultimately end homelessness here in America. My passion to teach and help people, along with my mad problem-solving skills and ridiculous determination, have finally brought this passion of mine to life. If you have a minute, allow me tell you the game plan.

Team Underdog’s first line of offense is M.U.D Mobiles (Mobile Underdog Dispensaries). These are retrofitted box trucks that will be dispersed throughout the inner cities across our country to help the Underdogs who are living on the streets. That will be followed by our CAMP UNDERDOG. These camps will be opened throughout many cities in the United States and will welcome anyone who finds themselves Down But Not Out. During their time at camp, new Underdogs will be medically assessed and assisted by our Affiliates. This temporary housing will work in unison with our HOMELESS HUB, which is the app and website we are in the process of creating, that will link Underdogs in need with the people and Foundations of our communities that want to help. Here, Underdogs will be able to tell their story, their skill sets, and their current needs so that others will be able to safely donate to them and know they are legitimately in need of help. Community members will also be able to follow their favorite Underdog and leave them encouraging messages as they progress through our program. Our Underdogs will donate 20 hours a week to the Foundation in return for a place to stay, meals every day, and a profile on our app. Advertising revenue from the Hub will help pay for food and housing for Underdogs, and donations will cover the $1-per-night charge at Camp Underdog for those who cannot afford it.

​We will also be opening THE FARM that will be the backbone of our Foundation. The Farm will act as a sanctuary for our Underdogs while they take back their lives. Here, Underdogs will have the opportunity to attend UNDERDOG TRADE & ART SCHOOL. This school will be revolutionary in allowing our Underdogs to stop just existing and start learning in order to start pursuing their dreams again. Underdogs enrolled in our program will donate some of their time to producing Tiny Homes for our TINY HOME COMMUNITIES. Our Underdogs will also learn farming and grow food for all the camps in the city too! Oh yeah, did I mention that we will be filming all of this and creating a reality show? On the DOWN BUT NOT OUT REALITY SHOW, everyone will be able to follow the thousands and thousands of Underdog stories that we intend to create. All the profits from the show will go to the Foundation to help keep the wheels turning.
